This month we are talking about The Fates. The Fates were deities’ mistresses of the fate of the men. They were three sisters, daughters of the night and darkness, or Jupiter and Themis, or, according to some authors, daughters of the necessity and destiny. Basically, they are said to have total control over one’s life. Yikes! What did I say??

So many of us resist change even as it is staring us right in the eye.  We know it is here, yet fear blinds us from what stands right before us.  Fear keeps us "safe" in the comfort of our unsettled lives.

Burlesque is more than a strip tease, it is a centuries old performance art form that has multiple connections to music, literature, art and of course lingerie.

To commemorate Mother’s Day, I have been asking some people what they think is the most important quality a mother should have. The replies were varied, but most of them could be put into one of three categories: love, a sense of humor and endurance.

Here we are in a new year and it's a great time to take a look at yourself honestly and make some changes for the good of your body and soul.  I know everyone makes huge resolutions each New Year and then a few months down the road, those resolutions are forgotten, lost, fade away or failed at.

I first really noticed the impact of this current recession in September of 2008.  Everything seemed to come crashing to a halt as far as retail sales were concerned.  Since then it has been a scary time for all.  For me, it has also been a very enlightening time as I learned to make adjustments to the store or risk having to close down.

So I've found ways to cut costs, found items that are easier on everyone's pocketbooks, and looked at ways to broaden the scope of what we offer.

This is a subject I hear about all the time!  So I am here to clarify and clear up any questions regarding what can be worn daily and what must be for date night only.
