Clear Crystal Quartz….New Beginnings

Our discussion this month centers on the Goddesses of Fate and Destiny, particularly on the Goddess of Clothos. In Greek mythology, Clotho was the youngest of three sisters of Fate, which is often called Threads of Life. The length of the string will determine how long the life of a particular person will be. Thread represented human life and her decisions represented the fate of all men in society. Clothos is credited with making major decisions, such as when a person was born, thus in effect controlling people’s lives.
Wow, those are some awesome responsibilities. Since I am really responsible only for myself I like to think about how I spin my own life…and how incremental changes may give me a new (or renewed) life…one that is filled with direction and satisfaction.
Since my job is sharing the mystical or healing properties of stones I searched for one that would speak to new beginnings, a rebirth, …a new start. The power behind new beginnings, whether it is for a New Year or a new day, can be found in the strength of our mental attitude. Encouraging words, affirmations and other tools can keep us along the path we desire. So engaging crystals as a tool for guidance seems only natural. Love, abundance, creativity are often the ideas we strive for the most. For this expanded sense of self clear quartz is the ideal stone. Crystal Quartz is a helpful stone in realizing spiritual growth. Part of spiritual development is knowing who we have been and deciding who we want to be. For this expanded sense of self clear quartz is the ideal stone. It is also a stone which can be programmed for any purpose. Clear Quartz is thought to amplify both body energy and thoughts. It can assist in the creation of power, clarity of thinking, meditation, cleansing, clearing the aura, spiritual development and healing.
Clear Quartz is considered the “stone of power”. A dedicated healer. Pure white light passes through it easily, leaving all the colors of the spectrum unaltered and giving substance to the argument that Clear Quartz crystals can help balance all the elements needed to make us whole and fulfilled. Amplify whatever influences are present in an individual or location. Acts as a purifier and tunes into the frequency of each individual. Will unblock specific areas or organs blocked from transmitting or receiving the flow of energy throughout the body. Helpful in guiding our search for the meaning and importance of existence. Aids in meditation. Can be used in conjunction with any other stone or gem for specific physical problems. It will amplify the effects of individual stones and attune the treatment to the energy of an individual person.

Programming Your Crystals
Below is one method of programming.
- Hold your crystal in one or both hands.
- Start breathing with slow, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling forcefully through your mouth.
- Focus on what you want to program into the crystal.
- As you inhale see a visual image of what you want; imagine how it feels to have it; and repeat an affirmation to yourself.
- With each exhale send your desire into the crystal.
- When you feel that the programming is complete put the crystal in a place where it won't be disturbed, or carry it with you. (This, of course, depends on how many crystals you're programming.)
You may feel that the programming is complete when you feel the crystal tingle. It may be a sense that what you're programming for will happen. It may be some awareness, known only to you, that your work with this crystal is complete. Rainbowcrystal.com
